Knock Knock, who is there? Peacock.
Line that intertwines only, isn't it?
Line that is entwined in nails, is art
Pounded hammering becomes melody
And with the right light, in the darkness creates life.
When seen all so involved
What was just nail, wood and thread
now has harmony, life and contagion
It infects so much that it even psychodelizes.
Without even writing anything yet, it's already possible to feel that the summer was well run just because we haven't yet been able to write another post here on the blog, right? Well you're not wrong.
We felt that summer arrived on an afternoon when our head finally felt warm ... it was during an afternoon of endless nails, which were beaten 3 to 4 times each. The saw made an endless noise, the wall that was white almost blackened by the brushstrokes and the rolls of line almost didn't prevent against meeting. In our humble garden, the stalks and flowers began to tighten and strengthen around us, the soundtrack could be rock, reggae, psychedelia, hardcore or ragga, yes ... we were in the midst of making our newest project in string art.
And what project was that? We call it more intimately from The Peacock, but it was the design of the Main Stage Spirit Animal of the KnockanStockan Festival, an independent music and art festival, located in Blessington, Ireland.
Yes, 4 months of developing a project, may seem like a lot, but that's exactly how it was opened and closed our summer time. It consisted of more than 33 thousand nails being 16 meters x 8 meters the great pebble of the Peacock that involved with open chest all the extraordinary musicians who passed through the festival on the weekend.
There were meetings and re-encounters with the crew of the festival to develop something innovative and really great. Something that really fascinates people when seen.
So it was desired and we believe that it was done. After long days of work, also involving other teams, such as the structure team and also the lighting team and of course the unpredictable weather of Ireland during the whole week before the festival, the Peacock finally stood up and made tears flow from the eyes that who hardly imagined what he would see, that moment was incredibly fascinating for us. It was like feeling like we could do it all over again. As well one of the great foundations of this project were our beloved flatmates - thank you for all your patience - we say this because we are far from home as you know, and it was very kind of the Donore Family to make your yard available: P
During the festival we also exhibited our Traveling Shop and we were able to receive all those who wanted to know a little more about our project, besides being able to also know our line of handmade jewels in copper and macrame.
It was because of such dedication that in the midst of all this a great partnership was formed, and the result is there, in video and memory forever by Upstage Film by Kristian Mantalvanos.

After this project is finished, we have only memories left. thank you with all my heart to make it all come true. Sure enough, every single person within that festival did with whoever it was. Yet, in the midst of this whirlwind of endless feelings and activities, we are forced to disconnect for 10 days in the midst of the creation process and land in Prague .... But this is a but this is a subject for the next post :P

Sem mesmo escrever nada ainda, ja é possível sentir que o verão foi bem corrido só pelo fato de ainda não termos conseguido escrever mais um post aqui no blog não é? bem, voce não está errado, foi bem assim mesmo.
Sentimos que o verão chegou em uma tarde qualquer em que finalmente a nossa cabeça sentiu-se esquentar… foi durante uma tarde de pregos infinitos, que eram batidos de 3 a 4 vezes cada um. A serra fazia um barulho sem fim, a parede que era branca quase ficou preta pelas pinceladas e os rolos de linha quase não deram contra de não se encontrar. No nosso humilde jardim, os caules e as flores começaram a se abrochar e se fortalecer ao nosso redor, a trilha sonora podia estar sendo, rock, reggae, psicodelia, hardcore ou ragga, sim… estávamos em meio a confecção de nosso mais novo projeto em string art.
E que projeto foi esse? O chamamos mais intimamente de The Peacock (pavão em ingles), porém ele foi o design do main stage Spirit Animal do KnockanStockan Festival, um festival independente de musica e arte, localizado em Blessington, Irlanda.
Sim, 4 meses de desenvolvimento de um projeto, pode parecer muito, mas foi exatamente assim como abriu-se e fechou-se o nosso tempo de verão. Constituiu-se de mais de 33mil pregos sendo 16metros x 8metros a grandiosa calda do Pavão que envolveu de peito aberto todos os músicos extraordinários que passaram pelo festival durante todo o final de semana.
Foram encontros e reencontros com a crew do festival afim de desenvolver algo inovador e realmente grandioso. algo que realmente encantasse as pessoas ao ser visto.
Assim se desejou e acreditamos que assim se fez. Depois de dias longos de trabalho, envolvendo também outras equipes, como a equipe de estrutura e também a de iluminação e claro o tempo imprevisível da Irlanda durante toda a semana de véspera do festival, o Peacock enfim ficou em pé e fez escorrer lágrimas dos olhos que quem mal imaginava o que iria ver, esse momento foi incrivelmente fascinante para nós. Foi como sentir que nós poderíamos fazer tudo aquilo de novo. um dos grandes alicerces deste projeto foram nossos flatmates queridos - obrigado por toda a paciência -, dizemos isso pois estamos longe do nosso lar como sabem, e foi muito gentil da Familia Donore nos disponibilizar o seu quintal :P
Durante o festival também expomos a nossa Loja Itinerante e, pudemos receber a todos aqueles que quiseram saber um pouco mais do nosso projeto, alem de poderem também conhecer a nossa linha de joias artesanais em cobre e macrame.
Foi por tanta dedicação que em meio a tudo isso uma grande parceria se formou, e o resultado está aí, em video e lembrança para sempre by Upstage Film por Kristian Mantalvanos.
